Since its modest beginnings, Andersen Flaps’ mission has remained constant-- to make roads safer for all motorists. In 2000, founder Barry Andersen began development of the Eco-flap® and later after its official patent, incorporated in 2005. A truck driver for over 25 years, Mr. Andersen set out to reduce water spray for truck operators and drivers of other vehicles in order to improve visibility for passing motorists during rainy day conditions. The result was the Eco-flap®, an ecologically sound mud flap with a unique airflow design that delivers both safety and fuel efficiency.

The Eco-flap®’s patented design has been highway tested with the help of many trucking companies and standardized tests under the SAEJ1321 Type 11 Fuel Economy Test, proving its ability to reduce road spray and deliver up to 3+% in fuel savings, making it the economical, eco-friendly choice for fleet owners and drivers. Eco-flaps® are now distributed throughout the country and are outfitted on thousands of trucks, showing promise of permanently replacing traditional mud flaps.
